Three lucky Monaro High students and Miss Godden were lucky enough to experience a guided tour with a Commonwealth athlete of the Australian Institue of Sport (AIS) training centre in Canberra and experience the interactive digital Sportex section.
The Sportex session involved an immersive experience into multiple sports, ranging from skiing, basketball, soccer, cycling and bowls. The player would utilise their body and in some cases have air blown onto them to recreate how it would feel to travel at high speeds.
It was a super fun experience, an excellent trip to and from Canberra and we would like to thank the AIME program for the invitation and for having us.
